A political assessment made on 1 July 2016 was presented as though it had been made one day before the coup; yet the same observation had been voiced since 10 February 2016.
The sentence that was cut out was not a wish but a warning describing what others were doing. The chief inspector of the Directorate General of Foundations wrote that it contained no insult, and on 10 January 2019 the court returned an acquittal.
Following the complaints of the summer of 2016 the original recordings were examined; the report stated that nothing constituting an offence had been found in the video recording, and one complainant withdrew his application.
