Disinformation Around the August 2026 Judicial Process

The claim that Furkan volunteers blocked the path of a man conducting an interview

The claim that Furkan volunteers blocked the path of a man conducting an interview

Distorted

Claim

In Adana, a man who broadcasts about Alparslan Kuytul and his movement had his path blocked by two people alleged to be "Kuytul followers (!)". - So you went to the trouble of coming all the way from Istanbul? + Yes, I came from Istanbul. - And what are you going to do? + None of your business, brother!

Fact

The man presented as conducting an interview is neither a reporter nor a journalist. He is an ordinary member of the public.

Furthermore, the reaction he met was not an attempt to obstruct anyone's freedom to broadcast. It came because he was trying to provoke the people there and was using indecent language. Below we reproduce a post on the subject written by a volunteer of the Furkan Movement — not a "Kuytul follower".

The words in the post written in reply to the claim are of an unbelievable kind:

The man you call a broadcaster has telephoned dozens of girls and women in order to provoke volunteers of the Furkan Movement (wherever he obtained their numbers), and has directed insults and threats at them that cannot be repeated. To provoke them further, he made unspeakable propositions to those women's husbands on his own broadcasts. I will write down only one of them, so that the scale of the immorality and dishonour is understood: "Send your wife over so I can use her for a while too."
