What happened in Adana on the night of 21 May 2020 was put on record eight days later, at a forum, in the words of the seven people who had lived through it themselves.

At that time both the mosque and its courtyard were closed, and no one went inside. There is no prayer performed in secret in an enclosed place; there is a prayer that was prevented in the street.

On the night of 21 May 2020 in Adana, five or six people wanted to pray the tarawih in a park; when the police said it was forbidden, they left. The beating began not in the park, but on the road as they were moving away.
