No soap, clothing or prescribed medication in custody

Furkan Haber, the movement's own outlet, reported on 16 September 2026 that the people detained on 19 August were not given basic supplies such as soap and clothing for the whole of their time in police custody. The account stresses that this happened in the summer heat of Adana.

The second point concerns health. By the same account, detainees with chronic conditions were not handed their prescribed medication.

The custody period was not short: by the same report, Alparslan Kuytul's statement was taken on the fourth day. Those held in the cells had been taken in on the morning of 19 August, in the simultaneous operation on members' homes and on the head office of Furkan Nesli magazine.
