Thirty-six people arrested with no concrete evidence

According to Furkan Haber's account of 16 September 2026, the custody process that began on the morning of 19 August ended in detention orders without concrete evidence being produced in the investigation file. Alparslan Kuytul, Semra Kuytul and 34 members were remanded, bringing the number held in the case to 36.

The right to a defence did not function on the way to that decision. Detainees were kept from meeting their lawyers, and Alparslan Kuytul gave his statement on the fourth day of custody with no counsel beside him. Over the same days basic supplies such as soap and clothing were withheld in the police cells, and detainees with chronic conditions were not given their prescribed medication.

The effect of the file did not stop at those remanded. Alongside the operation, trustees were appointed to five private companies with no financial or organic tie to the movement, and access bans were imposed on the movement's official websites and on many members' social media accounts. All of these measures were taken at a stage where no conviction exists, and they stand alongside the arrests as a single picture.
